Paramedical Campus Dadeldhura

 Background 

The Dadeldhura Para-Medical Campus was established in February 1996 in Dadeldhura district with the support of Korea Evergreen Hosanna Council (KEHC). RDSC and KEHC have made an effort to produce health technicians in Far Western Development Region, the most backward region of Nepal. The campus has been conducting classes for Assistant Nurse Midwife (ANM) and Community Medicine Auxiliary (CMA) level students for 18 months. On the other hand through the campus, RDSC has organized various programs related to health such as training and orientation program conduction on safe motherhood, child care, sanitation, Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS etc. Now, KEHC has handed over the college to RDSC for the management and frequent running with quality education and with Public Private Partnership (PPP) modality the institution activities are running frequently.

 Objective of the project

  • Provide vocational education in the health sector at rural area of Dadeldhura and  other  neighboring Districts of Far Western Development Region (FWDR).
  • To boost up the vocational education status of rural people of Doti District
  • Provide effective learning environment with quality vocational education.

  • Land managed by RDSC in Dadeldhura district from DDC/Municipality
  • Quality vocational training classes conducted
  • Operating the college management as PPP modality
  • Every year scholarship provided to poor students
  • Established library and laboratory
  • Organizing extracurricular activities frequently
  • Manage and conduct health related activities and programs
  • Sanitation and hygiene programs

 

 Achievement/Outputs of the program

  • Every year more than 150 student
  • About 40 teachers and staff
  • Every year full and partial scholarships provided for 10 poor and diligent students.

 

 Number of Beneficiaries

Yearly 150 students from Dadeldhura and neighboring Districts of FWDR are getting vocation training from the campus.
